Harri James and Jordan O’Kelley
Join us for a 15-minute excerpt of the documentary, “O’Kelley Legends: 2e Behinds the Scenes,” followed by a panel discussion with the producer-parent, star-student, & 2e researcher-host perspectives on the importance of mentors. We all know about the importance of mentors, yet often have very different ideas of who and what constitutes a great mentor. Listen directly to three different mentor perspectives and engage with our panelists.
Presenter Harri James O’Kelley is a parent, 2e & Gifted Advocate, filmmaker, & storyteller, whose most rewarding and inspiring job is being a mom to her three 2e children. With her family, she started The O’Kelley Lab to support novel ideas & approaches, such as Mime as Therapy, the Keys to Reward behavior chart, & the “O’Kelley Legends” monologues project.
Presenter Jordan O’Kelley is a 17 year old college junior at Cal State LA, majoring in Physics. Jordan enrolled in college at age 14 through CSULA’s Early Entrance Program. Diagnosed with autism at four years old, and identified as gifted at age ten, Jordan has become an advocate for 2e (“twice exceptional”) education and neurodiverse individuals.
