Hosanna Patience is a writer, teacher, and editor. She is a graduate of The New School’s MFA program. She was a recipient of the AWP Writers’ Conferences & Centers scholarship for an emerging fiction writer, the Pearl Sperling Evans Prize for most promise in fiction, and she was a nominee for the anthology, Best New American Voices. She was the recipient of the award for most outstanding work in the Department of English.
Join in managing an online GHF publication that will feature works of literature by teens.
GHF students will have the opportunity to curate and manage the student-led online literature journal: Midnight Snacks. This is a fantastic class for those interested in future careers in English, creative writing, editing, publishing, and journalism.
GHF Teen Literary Journal is recommended for learners ages 13 to 18. Works of literature sent in by teens will be selected in class for the GHF Teen Literature Journal for short stories, poetry, photography, and autobiographical writing. Students will learn about existing journals, how to edit, how to answer questions. Students must define why a work of literature is great and provide justification for why it should be selected for the GHF Teen Literature Journal. The GHF Teen Literature Journal will be published on the internet featuring works of literature selected and edited by GHF students.
