Dr. Erinn Fears Floyd: Educating Allies of the Gifted
Gifted students have unique learning, socio-emotional, and developmental needs that require the support of teachers, family, and the community. Finding answers to meet these varied needs may pose challenges for families. This session will empower attendees to increase their knowledge of the role of gifted allies and provide tips for creating safe, supportive spaces for gifted students. Advocacy strategies will be shared to help allies celebrate students’ strengths, embrace students’ challenges, and expand networks to better serve all gifted students.
